Black History Comes Alive

Historian, educator and author Wallace Moore gives a presentation to Eisenhower High School students on Sept. 3 about the famed “Buffalo Soldiers,” the first African-Americans to serve in the United States Army. Moore, who has studied and written extensively on the “Buffalo Soldiers” taught about their role in the history of Indian Territory, Oklahoma, and specifically Fort Sill. Moore was brought to EHS by history teacher Owen Sasser. (Ashely Almazan)
