Hooves hit the court at the Eisenhower High School gymnasium on the evening of March 4, as a large crowd attended a donkey basketball game as part of the BEAK Week festivities. The equine athletic event featured teams of students, teachers and local celebrities competing against one another in basketball games while riding donkeys. The donkeys and other necessary equipment was provided by the company Dairyland Donkey Ball.

BEAK (Building Empathy and Kindness) Week, an annual school pride event sponsored by the EHS Student Council, features student dress-up days and special events. It also raises money for a local charity. This year, students raised $18,130 for the Lawton Food Bank, in addition to collecting numerous non-perishable food items to donate for the cause.
